The Footprints this week...

Sunday Gospel Background...
The Pharisees in Sunday’s Gospel want to trap Jesus into taking sides on the question of paying Roman taxes. They believe that accepting Roman rule in their country means they are not loyal to God and God’s rules. Jesus’ answer, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s,” calls them and us to obey both civil and religious laws and to examine our allegiances when the two conflict.
Use the Family Companion, new this year...
The Family Companion helps give guidance on some of the teachings in this week's Gospel. It is such a great tool to get conversations started. You can also look

Saint Carlos Acutis...
The students received Saint Carlo Acutis bookmarks this week as a gift from our Bishop Frank. His feast day is October 12th and he is a good reminder to us that Saints come in all "human packages", from holy men who knew and followed Jesus like St. Peter, to sinners who reformed into great teachers like St. Augustine and even contemporary teenagers who just love the Eucharist like St. Carlo Acutis. Check out his Eucharistic Miracles website
